The industry is growing quickly, and the need for business valuation and qualified appraisers has never been greater.
Market forces include:

A proliferation of business start-ups
The downsizing of larger businesses resulting in the formation of businesses by departing executives
Increased financing opportunities for small business
Acquisitions, mergers, and sales of closely-held businesses
Establishment of Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs)
Increased litigation involving shareholder disputes, divorce, business damages, taxation and death.
Practicing business appraisal also can provide accountants, business brokers, economists, academics, and other well-positioned professionals an opportunity to build revenues or expand their portfolio of value-added client services.
